Park County was established in 1909, and is home to a majority of Yellowstone National Park. According to the US Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 6,967 square miles.  As of the 2020 United States Census, there were 29,624 people, and 12,160 households in the county. The population density was 4.1 inhabitants per square mile.

Proposed precinct consolidations:

The Board of Park County Commissioners will be considering changes for election district/precinct boundaries due to proposed consolidation on April 2, 2024, at 9:50 a.m. in the Grizzly Room of the Park County Library. Details of the changes and maps here. 

Request for Proposals - Professional Auditing Services

Park County, Wyoming will accept proposals from qualified individuals and firms to audit its financial statements for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2024, and two subsequent years, if authorized. Proposals will be received in the office of the Park County Clerk, 1002 Sheridan, Avenue, Cody, Wyoming 82414 no later than 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 15, 2024. The proposal shall be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Audit Proposal 2024”. Appeals to the County Board of Equalization may be made within 30 days after the assessment schedules are mailed. Pick up an application during that time frame in the Assessor’s Office or the County Commissioners’ office which are located at the Park County Courthouse in Cody.

1. Do your title work at the County Clerk’s Office.

2. Pay the sales tax at the County Treasurer’s office. Pick up your license plates and registration.

3. Bring your receipt to the County Clerk’s office and pick up your title.
