Q. Can the Park County Attorney give legal advice to residents of Park County?

A: No. The Park County Attorney is the legal advisor to Park County and the elected officials of Park County. The Park County Attorney cannot advise private citizens in their personal legal matters.

A. Immediately call 911 if a crime is in progress and give the dispatch operator all the pertinent information. Otherwise, contact dispatch at (307) 527-8700 who will refer you to the appropriate law enforcement agency. After law enforcement investigates, they will send their report to the Park County Attorney's Office to review for potential charges. The Park County Attorney's Office does not take crime reports.
