Important 4-H Deadlines for 2011-2012
4-H Program Year (October 1, 2011 – September 30, 2012)
4-H Members
2011-12 Enrollment/Re-enrollment Forms are available October 1st, the start of the 4-H year. Please get signed up as soon as possible and ensure that your enrollment is turned in prior to any livestock ownership deadlines of species you are showing. Re-enrollment forms must be turned in each year!
4-H Leaders
You MUST complete the following before you begin working with youth
- 2011-12 Leader Enrollment & DFS Screening Forms
- Go through E-Learning Training Course or face-to-face volunteer training
Go to: www.parkcounty.us/extension/4hVolunteers.html and click on 4-H volunteer E-Learning course box
- Meet with Kelsey at the extension office to go over a few additional materials
4-H Clubs
- Club packets available October 1st
- New club chartering form due November 1st
- Club Re-enrollment form and associated materials due November 1st
4-H Animal Ownership Deadlines
- All Market Beef - February 1st (must be enrolled in 4-H at this time)
- All Horse (owned or leased) Must be safety certified by May 1st
Horse Safety Certifications are to be turned into the office with a photo of each horse
- All Dogs (owned or co-owned) - May 1st
Dog ID Certificates are due at this time (must be turned in or re-filed each year)
- All Market Sheep, Swine and Goats - May 15th (must be enrolled in 4-H by this time)
- All Other Animals (Breeding Beef, Feeder Calves, Dairy Cattle, Breeding Sheep, Breeding Swine, Dairy Goats, Rabbits, Poultry, and Cats) - June 1st
- All Market Rabbits - July 1st
4-H Animal Tagging and Consignment Deadlines
- All Market Beef - February 10th
- All Market Sheep, Swine and Goats - May 25th
- All Market Rabbits - July 3rd Must be Tattooed (rather than tagged)
