Leaders:

Are you looking for ideas to help your 4-Hers? Would you like to collaborate with other leaders? May 16 we will be holding a LeaderShare! 6 p.m. in Powell.

Call the office if you are interested in the 2013 WRLF in Hawaii.

4-H Council Meetings:

The 4-H Council needs a historian! Would you like to fill the position? You could even enter your project in the Fair! Call today to find out how you can help out the Council!

Everyone is welcome!! Please think about sending a representative from your club to each meeting. The next meeting will be held Thursday, May 17 at 6:30 p.m. in Powell in the Farigrounds Meeting Room. Hope to see you all there!!

Dogs:

Heart Mountain 4-H Club community service fundraiser for Park County Animal Shelter is May 12 from 10 to Noon at Beck Lake Park. Call the office for more information or a sign up sheet.

Goshen County is having a Dog Fun Match, June 23 at the Fairgrounds in Torrington (click here for more information).

Presentation Contest:

The Park County Presentaiton Contest will be held May 30th from 4 p.m. until completed. Awards will follow. The sign up form will be available soon and due by May 18th by 5 p.m. The form is in the newsletter. Contact the office if you have questions.

Livestock Taggings, Sales & Shows

Dr. Duncan of the USDA will be giving a talk on April 11 at 6 p.m. in the EOC Room at the Courthouse in Cody. If you raise sheep or goats, or are unclear about the requirement, this is the perfect opportunity for YOU!

Lambs & Pigs: Powell, May 15 6-8:30 p.m.; Cody, May 19 10 a.m.-1 p.m.; Meeteetse, May 21 6-7:30 p.m.

Rabbits: Powell, June 18 6-7 p.m.

Fundraiser Kits!

Don't forget to fill out a fundraising request. Also there are KITS available to check out for your event. There is a 4-H banner, pencils, and lots of fun 4-H promotional items to have at your fundraising event in the kits. You can cehck one out at either office!

Junior Leaders:

Members 13-18 are Junior Leaders and we encourage you to join us! Meetings are 3rd Monday of the month at 6 pm alternating between Cody and Powell. The next one will be May 21 in Cody.

May 5th – Junior Leader Retreat, call Kelsey to sign up.

Portfolio Help:

There are two trainings coming up May 22 at 6 p.m. in Powell and May 24 at 6 p.m. in Cody. Call the office if you need help and for more information!

4-H Camp - June 21-23 At H W Camp at Grass Creek. Members 8 to 18 are encouraged to attend as campers or couselors as older members. We also need parents and leaders to come help! SAVE the date now...

Showcase Showdown - June 26-27 In addition to great contests youth can also participate as an attendee at workshops, dances, and lots of activities. Registration is due June 11, 2012.
