Landfill Fee Schedule
There is no charge for DELIVERING the following ITEMS to the landfill: Very small animal carcasses (under 50 lbs), brush or clean wood to the burn pile, metal taken to the salvage area, clean gravel or dirt, grass clippings/straw/animal bedding or manure, used motor oil (limit 5 gallons per household per month) or auto batteries.
FREE MONTHLY TRIP WITH PROOF OF COMMERCIAL SERVICE
Municipal residents who utilize city garbage services are allowed one delivery per month of household waste materials only at no additional charge provided they show proof of their residence within a municipality and that all loads are properly covered. You must bring your current month’s utility bill as proof of service.
Limitation: Utility bill usage is valid for one load of household garbage a month.
Cody – 460 pounds per usage
Powell/Clark - 2 yards per trip (equal to approximately the volume of a standard pickup filled even to the top of the box).
Items not eligible for utility bill exemption (See fee schedule for pricing):
Tires, Livestock Carcasses and Construction or Demolition Wastes will be charged in addition to any exemption for Municipal or Rural Subscribers or Annual Permit Holders.
Subscribers to a Contract Hauler are entitled to the same privilege with proper proof of an active service contract.
ANNUAL RESIDENTIAL PERMITS
Rural residents who wish to haul their own household trash are encouraged to purchase an annual permit based on each fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) or pay on a per load basis. Permit rates are as follows:
- Annual Standard Residential (Cody, Powell, Clark) $180
- Crandall Residential (6 Months, May through October) $180
- Crandall Residential (Annual) $270

Park County Regional Landfill (Cody Landfill)
Fees
Loads are weighed in and out of the Regional Landfill using a certified Mettler-Toledo scale. Charges are based on the following rates.
General refuse $90/Ton
Construction debris $90/Ton
Concrete $18/Ton
Stumps $18/Ton
Tire Disposal $125/Ton
Large animal carcasses (greater than 200 lbs) $18 each
Small animal carcasses (50 lbs to 200 lbs) $6 each
Animal/butcher waste $6/barrel
Powell and Clark Landfills Fees
Any load delivered to the landfill gate will be charged a fee based on $9.00 per loose yard. The following is a sample of disposal rates for the Powell and Clark landfills:
