Hazardous Waste
It is unlawful to dispose any liquid, chemical or regulated hazardous material at a municipal landfill.
Special wastes such as Asbestos, Paint, Oil, Batteries, Refrigerators, Air Conditioners or other hazardous materials require special handling. Please contact the Landfill Gate Attendants BEFORE delivering these items to a landfill.
Petroleum Contaminated Soil (PCS) is accepted at the Powell Landfill only. Fees are based on $15/yd with a minimum charge of $375. Prior approval with an Agreement for Proper Analytical Testing is Required. Contact the Landfill Office for proper procedures.
