Important Information

The Park County Regional Landfill in Cody utilizes a certified set of scales to weigh each delivery and the charge is based on this weight.  The landfills located in Clark and Powell will not have scales and are still basing the charge on volume.
Those customers who currently possess Decal or Vehicle numbers for their delivery vehicles will still use the number originally given to them however it will no longer be used to preset the dollar amount of the load at the Regional Landfill; the load will be weighed and charged accordingly. 
Items that we have not charged for in the past will remain the same.  Recyclables and organics are generally free.  Please see the listing under the specific landfill you are going to use as the operations at each landfill are slightly different.
Those using the Regional Landfill in Cody will be asked to weigh twice if the delivered load has a mixture of chargeable and non-chargeable items. 

Landfills will be closed on the following holidays: 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years and Memorial Day.

 

Landfill Procedures

  1. All vehicles are required to register with the Landfill Gate Attendant to receive delivery instructions for every load. Our disposal areas change from time to time, making it essential for each vehicle/load to stop for instructions.
  2. Please follow the gate attendant's instructions. If you have a question please ask or obtain help from one of the site employees.  Operations and disposal areas at the facilities change often.
  3. During inclement weather please call to make sure areas of disposal are open.
  4. Motor vehicles are accepted but all the liquids must be drained from the vehicle.
  5. All waste brought to the landfill must be secured, covered or in a closed container. Any load arriving at any landfill gate not properly covered or secured in a manner to prevent loss of the waste material along the delivery route will be subject to a $25 surcharge or refusal to accept material for disposal.
  6. Contractors hauling building construction or demolition wastes are encouraged to set up a billing account prior to their first delivery.  Any loads delivered to any of the landfills without an account or proof of alternative hauler will be expected to pay cash.
  7. It is unlawful to scavenge or salvage without written approval.
  8. All vehicles must be safely unloaded and returned to gate before closing time.

Crandall Transfer Station
You must purchase an annual permit to use the Crandall Transfer Station.
